"La Marcha" Immigration Reform

In Texas and around the country hundreds of Latino US born and immigrants have taken it to the streets, and rally for a fair and prompt immigration reform.   This is a story about one such rally. 

espiBlog Patricio Espinoza and Bernessa Jakle follow the path of the immigrants as they march around the streets in  San Antonio, Texas.  65% plus Hispanic, in San Antonio many Latinos are second third generation.  Many don't even speak Spanish anymore.  Yet, in the shadows, a prolific society of Spanish speaking immigrants are still coming in search of the American dream.   

Among those in the rally, a young mother in this video with her baby in arms.  >ABC La Marcha She... an undocumented immigrant... or an "illegal alien" as many call her.  Here son... born in this country... a US Citizen.  If she was detained today, she would be deported, her son left to choose between a mother and his country.

Victoria Trial

Veinte inmigrantes indocumentados mueren atrapado en un camión de carga bajo altas temperaturas en Victoria, Texas.  El chofer ahora enfrenta la pena de muerte.  La primera vez en un caso similar para un "coyote" o traficante de seres humanos.  Patricio Espinoza informa para Radio Bilingüe.

Twenty undocumented immigrants were killed locked inside a truck under extreme temperatures.  The driver now faces the death penalty, for the first time in case of human smuggling.  Patricio Espinoza reports for National Public Radio Bilingue.
