In Texas and around the country hundreds of Latino US born and immigrants have taken it to the streets, and rally for a fair and prompt immigration reform. This is a story about one such rally.
espiBlog Patricio Espinoza and Bernessa Jakle follow the path of the immigrants as they march around the streets in San Antonio, Texas. 65% plus Hispanic, in San Antonio many Latinos are second third generation. Many don't even speak Spanish anymore. Yet, in the shadows, a prolific society of Spanish speaking immigrants are still coming in search of the American dream.
Among those in the rally, a young mother in this video with her baby in arms.
She... an undocumented immigrant... or an "illegal alien" as many call her. Here son... born in this country... a US Citizen. If she was detained today, she would be deported, her son left to choose between a mother and his country.
The story was independently produced by Patricio Espinoza for espiBlog. However, ABC News "Exclusiva" unique bilingual and Spanish language on-line magazine picked up and premiered the piece on line.
